US Army Captain awarded the Medal of Honor by Becca Hodge

US Army Captain William Swenson was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Barack Obama for saving many people in Afghanistan. Captain Swenson was seen helping a wounded shoulder after being trapped by an attack. He carried the soldier to a medical helicopter with out a helmet and in the range of enemy fire. After placing the soldier in the helicopter, he kissed the top of his head. "A simple act of compassion and loyalty to a brother in arms," President Obama said at the ceremony. Captain William Swenson was nominated for this award earlier but his paperwork was "lost."

I think it is great that a person that has done so much to help others is being recognized for what he has done. I hope all the other soldiers that have not gotten recognized yet do.
