Current Event: Venezuela Seizes Toys
Venezuelan officials have confiscated over 4 million toys, just weeks before this upcoming Christmas. Officials have accused the toy company of selling the toys at raised prices because of the holiday season, and will not be returning them until after Christmas. The man in charge of taking the toys away claimed he “does not care about children's’ right to have a merry Christmas.”

This is actually so terrible and talk about the Grinch that stole Christmas. Christmas is supposed to be a holiday full of love, joy, giving, and having fun with loved ones, but if all the toys are gone, that excitement that a child gets won’t be the same! Even if the company raised prices, it isn't like it would be increased that much. As a lover of Christmas, i find this entire situation ridiculous and i hope Venezuelan children get what they deserve!

  1. I find it somewhat extreme that just because the prices of toys were raised a little bit it gives people an excuse to steal everyones' toys and not give them back until after Christmas.

  3. This is so sad and honestly ridiculous, and I agree with you this is definitely a how the grinch stole Christmas situation. Also I bet the people who took the toys away probably didn't have a good childhood when it came to Christmas and so they don't want other children to have joy that they never had.

  4. Its sad that the children- who don't even understand WHY their christmas is being taken away-are being punished for something that had nothing to do with them.

  5. This is so sad. The poor children derive toys. Now they can have happiness with their family. But please return the toys.
