If you’ve ever been on a Carnival Cruise, your going to want to hear this story. Carnival’s Princess Cruises will pay a $40 million fine for dumping oily waste into the ocean. It’s the largest penalty of its kind in history. The company also pleaded guilty to seven felony charges.
This story wouldn’t be that big of a deal if this had been a one time thing, but according to sources this has been happening for the past ten years. Think of how much sea life has most likely been destroyed due to these oil dumps. Hopefully the jury on this case will make sure that the company gets what they deserve.
