Trump won, and now he has gone to the White House and met with president Obama. Many people around the world expected this meeting to go terribly but from what we've heard, it was quite civil. This is surprising because the two exchanged bitterly harsh words about each other on the campaign trail, but the current Oval Office occupant has pledged to make the transition to the Trump administration a smooth one.
Although my initial reaction to trump becoming president was fear, it's things like this that are somewhat keeping my hopes up. And although our country is very divided right now there could not be a more important time for us to come together and I'm hoping we are able to do that.
