Justin Ross Harris was recently sentenced to a lifetime in prison for leaving his sun unaccompanied for seven hours in his hot car. Harris and his son went to a breakfast at Chick-fil-a one morning and afterwards, Harris passed by the daycare where he was supposed to drop off his son. He didn't notice his son in the backseat and left him there while at work. After work, Harris got into his car and noticed his son's body strapped in the carseat. Witnesses say that he started screaming for help after seeing this. The argument against him is that he would've seen his son in the backseat before going to work. His ex-wife claims that he was a loving father and husband and that we would never do anything to intentionally harm his son.

I hope this whole situation was an accident because that is horrible and so sad.
ReplyDeleteI also hope that this was an accident and mistake, because the thought of this being consciously done is horrifying and devastating.
ReplyDeleteThis is awful! Because of Harris's ignorance, his son died. You should never leave anyone in a hot car for an extended amount of time, let alone 7 hours! I wonder how this person didn't even notice his son in his car until it was to late. If you have a kid, you should be aware and know what is best for them. Not leave them in a hot car because you "forgot" or "didn't notice."
ReplyDeleteChildren talk, how could he not hear his son in the backseat? If his son was sleeping, he still would have seen him still in the car. This is a terrible thing.
