Mica Stout | Nashville police officer shot

At around Tuesday morning at 5:30 am a police officer was fired at in the Cumberland Inn.  The officer (unamed) was just trying to give  a warrant, so he went to search the hotel room. The suspect decided to believe that the officer was "barricading" and shot at the officer's shoulder. While there were 2 policemen in the room, only one was shot, but they didn't see who fired it. As the policemen shot back, the people occupying the hotel room fled. The injured officer was sent to the hospital, and luckily had no serious damage. The officer was said to have been talking to the suspect with a mega phone.

There have been so many shootings this year which is really unfortunate for the people who lost their lives because of it. So many crazy people don't realize that actions have consequences. Just because the police are present doesn't mean you can just start shooting people, and you shouldn't need a gun in a hotel room. It doesn't make sense that everyone just loves to shoot people.

  4. We need to do something about gun control laws in our country, almost anyone is eligible to own a gun and that's pretty unsafe
