"The two stolen paintings, once valued to be worth $100 million, are the 1882 work 'Seascape at Scheveningen' and the 1884/85 work 'Congregation leaving the Reformed Church in Nuenen.'" The paintings were found while Italian officers were going after a different case dealing with drug traffickers. The paintings were found in a safehouse.

Being an artist myself, I know the value of art and paintings. I think that the paints being put back into a museum for all to see and enjoy will be the right thing to do.

  1. Wow! I had no idea this even happened and i am glad that these pieces were found. I agree the paintings should be put back in the museum so people can see and enjoy, but also since there is higher security.
