This season is predicted to be the coldest winter for several years for lots of places over the country. Some cities have already reached the lowest temperature ever reached for the area, the it is even supposed to get colder later on in the week. This is happening because of something called the Polar Vortex. It is mainly in the North Pole but sometimes it gets spreader into southern North America. The predicted temperatures for some cities are so extreme that they can cause frost bite in under 10 minutes. Huge snow storms are also predicted in the New England region.

Although the cold weather is fun for lots of people, it is dangerous. I personally like the cold weather, but I hope everyone's heater is working.
ReplyDeleteI love the cold weather but that is crazy that people would actually do the polar plunge this year. Hopefully nothing will happen to anyone and they can all have fun doing the it!
ReplyDeleteI really wonder if this will affect Texas. I love cold weather but this sounds a bit extreme, so I hope nobody gets hurt, but wouldn't it be great if it snowed on Christmas?
