"Belize deputy PM calls for prosecutions in pyramid destruction" - Emma H.

The 2,300 year old pyramid is now destroyed. The decided to destroy this Mayan Pyramid to create roads. This 2,300 year old pyramid was a Mayan pyramid at Noh Mul in Belize. Rock roads will now be created for the people of Belize. Only a small part of the pyramid stand today, it stand 65 feet tall  on private land in the center of the Belize people with a population of 40,000.The limestone if favored for building the new road.
"Noh Mul had been one of the ancient monuments with the greatest tourism development potential in northern Belize," the association said. "Unfortunately, such progress has been severely hampered due to the ignorance and greed of certain individuals."
It's a shame that so much history and culture if being destroyed. The people of Belize should of found another way around the situation. The pyramid has been standing for AGES, and made by Mayan people back in the day. That's some of the history of the Mayan people, and seeing it be destroyed for road is sad, but at least they are using the pyramids remains to make the road, so it'll at least be used in a useful way.
