While stopped at a remote beach off the west coast of Australia, the parents decided to go for a swim. While drifting offshore the parents got into some trouble. The children soon saw their mother floating face down in the water. They watched as other people on the beach attempted to perform CPR on their mom after her body came to shore. The father however was spotted for a brief amount of time floating in the water before disappearing underwater. Kathreen Ricketson (mom) was thought to have drowned and the search still continues for Robert Shugg (dad) but authorities say there is little hope for finding him alive now. It is so sad how an adventure of a lifetime came to such a depressing and quick ending. Remember to be safe whenever you go swimming in the ocean and do not go in if it seems to dangerous.

ReplyDeleteWas there an attack my ocean animals or did the parents have trouble swimming? It seems so unnatural and random for them to pass after a swim. The poor children will be scared for the rest of their lives. :(
