A search was launched Thursday after two people went missing off the eastern coast of Australia. A man and a woman were reported missing when they didn't claim their luggage after the Carnival Cruise ship Spirit docked on Thursday morning in Sydney. Police determined that the two fell overboard after looking at the cruise's security videos. The two fell from mid-deck, which is a long distance to fall. The police tried to remain optimistic in their search, but they have since ended it after two days of searching.
This is quite a blow for Carnival cruise lines, who has lately been the subject of some other incidents as well. Carnival obviously needs to make some safety improvements. You would think that the couple should have been discovered missing sooner, so that a search could have been made before it was too late.

Oh no. I hope they find them.
ReplyDeleteThe Carnival company has been getting a lot of bad rep in the news around the world lately. They had all those ships that had broken down and stranded people out in the ocean, and now people are disappearing. No the best way to run a business.
