"Can Saudi Arabia's first anti-domestic violence advert make a difference?" - Emma H.

Newspapers of Saudi Arabia published the picture above. It quoted "Some thing can't be covered" It also had a list of domestic violence numbers you can call for help. This was a shocking image to the people of the Saudi Arabia. "It's a problem that's been swept under the carpet for years," says Scott Abbott, the creative director for Memac Ogilvy, the Riyadh-based agency responsible for the advert. Women is Saudi Arabia have the freedom to  travel WITH the permission of the "male guardian" There is no laws in Saudi Arabia against domestic violence, and for many years it's been a problem. They also have now laws that protect the women, or a law that punishes a man for abusing his wife. It's also taken many years for the women in Saudi Arabia to gain their rights.

It's good that this was exposed to the people in Saudi Arabia, that way they are aware of what is happening to the women of their nation. Even though there is no law that punished a man, or protects the women from domestic violence, that shouldn't give anybody a reason to abuse of another person.
