3D Printer Saves Child - Elvira Gamboa

Kaiba, a 6 week old boby, had bronchial malacia. It had his family worried about him because they had to give him CPR many times. As a method to clear it up a splint was created using a 3D printer. The thing is it hasn't been tried on a human before. The splint was made of PCL which also slowly breaks down. The split worked successfully. Kaiba is now 18 months old and still breathing normally.
