Gov't obtains wide AP phone records in probe- Russell Daniels

This article is talking about how the government recently took records of phone calls from news reporters of A.P. The news' attorneys said that "the government sought and obtained information far beyond anything that could be justified by any specific investigation". The government has yet to explain why they have taken the call records. Usually the government notifies a news organization when it needs certain phone records, but this time the government just said that they no longer had that right and took them.
