Volunteer Firefighters Fighting Fire -Hadassah Lai

Australia has been undergoing through a heat wave. The temperature extreme has been causing bush fires and wild fires. Since Australia is very dry and there is very little precipitation, hence the name The Great Outback, fires are very easily started. Raging flames has consumed parts of Australia, and volunteer firefighters are risking their lives to try to end the fires. However, the fires are spreading extremely quick, and there is very little possibility that they will end soon.

I think that it is so brave of these volunteer firefighters to fight the fires. I cannot imagine myself just throwing myself out there and trying to put out the fires without getting paid or getting any benefits. I respect them and I thank them for trying to save people's lives and homes.
