Oklahoma is Hit
Post by: Addison Norman

Just today, Monday May 20, the southern areas of Oklahoma City as well as other areas have been hit drastically by tornados. At a time the tornado was reported to be 2 miles wide. A tornado ripped through Moore, Oklahoma, and the storm destroyed homes, buildings and cars. As of right now 6 people are dead and many others are injured. Hospitals are other rescue services from near areas have come to aid Moore. An elementary school building was hit and students and teachers are continuing to be rescued from the destroyed building. It is estimated that close to 32,000 buildings and homes are with out power. The tornado that has devastated Moore was rated at least an EF-4 on the magnitude level. Level 4 tornados have winds from 166 mph to 200mph.
It is utterly important and serious to be aware of the natural disasters that you can be subject to. I have thought of this because North Texas being in the Tornado Valley and Dallas having Moore, OK so closed  it’s important to be prepared. People should always have emergency plans in case of natural disasters to help keep safe.
