Coal, Not So Cool Anymore, By: Jon Cope

Coal, Not So Cool Anymore, By: Jon Cope

Summary:
If you haven't already heard, China is the #1 user of coal. They don't use natural gases, or even nuclear power, but use thermal coal to fuel power plants. The Chinese once believed that it was an unlimited source, but now they might want to rethink what they thought. Also, these thermal coals they're burning are polluting the air. Because of all of this, the Chinese government plans to launch new nuclear reactor, which will reduce the need for coal. All over the globe, many coal exporters and coal mines have been shut down. Then again, China is full of coal, and instead of transporting it, they might find and use it themselves

Analysis:
I think it's about time (Actually, past time) that the entire world stops using coals and chemicals that pollute the earth. I think it would be great if we all used solar energy or natural gases, as we've already started the greenhouse effect, why would we want to make it worse? With coal and other chemicals, the air becomes polluted, harder to breathe, harder to see through, and traps heat (especially in Texas).
