Long time Nintendo president dies -CNN Robert (Tobyo) Swofford

What a sad day it was, Hiroshi Yamauchi the head of the NIntendo enterprise dies at 85 years old.

"The entire Nintendo group will carry on the spirit of Mr. Yamauchi by honoring, in our approach to entertainment, the sense of value he has taught us -- that there is merit in doing what is different -- and at the same time, by changing Nintendo in accordance with changing times," said current Nintendo President Satoru Iwata in a statement sent to CNN.

Hiroshi was the man who took over Nintendo from the days from making playing cards to the Nintendo Entertainment System, and eventually declining in 2002, shortly after the Gamecube's release, but he lived on, even to see the day the Wii U came out!

I find this very sad to hear such a great person to finally pass on, he created the ever loved mustachioed plumber we all love, and even the original Donkey Kong.

Rest in peace and fun Hiroshi Yamauchi
