Mia Sanchez - Plastic on Saturn's moon?

NASA has recently discovered propylene (a chemical ingredient in many plastics) in the atmosphere of Titan.  Titan is Saturn's largest moon, and one of the only bodies in the solar system with an atmosphere made of hydrocarbons.  Propylene has never been found anywhere other than earth, which makes this discovery is especially interesting.  Scott Edgington, a leader of the Cassini space project, explained that this new discovery will help us better understand the atmosphere of Titan.  Although I maintain that space exploration is frivolous, it is cool that we know so much about space, and that we have so much yet to learn.

  2. this is so cool, hopefully they can do more research on this and see if it is related to the planet being able to support life.

  3. This is amazing. Who knows, maybe in the next few years they will find more evidence to lead to this planet possibly supporting life!

  4. This is reallly cool! I'm curious to see if any other chemical ingredients that are on earth will be on other planets. Maybe even new chemicals could be discovered, possibly some that could benefit human life on earth.

  5. I think this is awesome! I'm glad that NASA is investing in learning about other planets like ours. It would be cool if someday we could find one able to sustain life like Earth; or even us if we need to move.

  6. How interesting, I wonder if there are anymore unusual substances near where it was found.
