Friendly Game by Sylvie Lednicky

On Tuesday, Iraq participated in their first international soccer match in years. The game was against Syria, a country that Iraq has had problems with for years. People were overjoyed at the friendly game, glad that the nations got the chance to be united, even for a short period of time. The citizens of Iraq are ready to live in peace, without any destruction. It's great that these two countries are getting at least a lull in the war, much needed by everyone.

  1. It's really motivating to hear about 2 conflicting countries joining together for a little fun. Maybe this is a start for peaceful interaction between them?

  3. Yay! I like when people can settle their differences! Even if it was for a few hours to play soccer!
