Sahara explorer taming the desert-
Jamie Lerman
Newton Jibunoh stidued in London, and in 1966 returned back home to Nigeria after completing his studies. He thought now it was the time to start new adventures. He decided to explore and study the Sahara. The Sahara is the biggest desert in the world, which should make for a very big adventure. He was very aware of the possibilities of the exploration, he knew it was very easy for him to get lost, get dehydrated, and or die from such extreme measures of the climate. Yet despite all these intimidating factors, Jibunoh said the beauty of the desert made up for all of that.

I think it's fantastic that people are starting to explore extreme places like the Sahara. Even though it is very dangerous, it's something not everyone can do, and the experience is worthwhile.
I also think that it is great that people are exploring the Sahara knowing the many risks and consequences of studying such an extreme place. I hope more adventures like this happen because it could expand our knowledge of the world and other environments in it. This man was very brave, and I hope others take this journey in the future.
