Recently Charles Foster Jr. was killed in a shooting early on new years day, one of the first deaths of 2013. He was killed in a night club, and this article did a study on how a lot of people die in gun killings every year but very few attract media attention. In 2010 alone there were about 11,000 people killed in gun homocides and only one or two attract media attention.
Foster was in a nightclub with his girlfriend (against his better judgement, he wanted to go to church) and while they were celebrating people heard gunshots, and soon Foster was found dead at the scene, and several more people were injured. He was about to get his post humous degree (which his family recieved at his funeral) from Colombus State University. He was known as a hard worker who never gave up, and a very kind and loving man.
