36 Killed in Congo Fighting By Graysha Assoun

On Thursday the Democratic Republic of Congo broke into fighting between the government and militia forces. This upbringing caused 36 people to be killed. Among the 36, 10 were civilians. this fight has become so bad that 3,000 to 4,000 people have taken refuge near the U.N base in Katanga. This fight started in North Kivu in the eastern province and worked its way around. It mostly started on Thursday, but there were some fighting on Wednesday as well.
This is yet another fight between the government and militia forces and civilians. It is very sad that they have to settle it this way with 36 deaths. This happens a lot in Africa and Southwest Asia.

  1. This is terrible. I hate how there always have to be arguments with the government. The government is supposed to help us, not hinder us and make our lives harder. I wonder what this fight was about. Maybe it isn't the governments fault, and it is the citizens just complaining about not getting their way. I hope this doesn't happen again.
