Back in August 2012 it was revealed on India's Independence day that an unmanned probe would be making it's flight to the Red Planet: Mars. Now things are being kicked into high gear.
We now also know that the spacecraft shall be launched sometime in November of this year. Their Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, is quite excited. He states that, "(the mission) will be a huge step for us in the area of science and technology."
Good to hear! This truly is a momentous step for a country that was once so immune to technology. This should be an excellent example for all other nations wanted to something like what India is doing. perhaps we will see some follow in the footsteps in the upcoming years.
Analysis: I am ecstatic to hear that India is doing this. It's really great to see a place like India making such marvelous accolades, especially in the science and technology area. If all goes well, it should improve this nation tremendously. Can;t wait to see how the mission goes. Best of luck to India!

ReplyDeleteI don't think India participated in the previous Space Race, so this will definitely be something to follow up on and watch.
