France identifying Islamist killed in Africa. BY: ruby aguilar

This undated photo shows Moktar Belmoktar, an Algerian who has long been a target of French counter-terrorism forces.

The main point is to try and find out if the French and Chadian troops kill some of al Qaeda's most powerful men in Africa. The question will be answered using a DNA test to identify the Islamist fighters that were killed in recent battles. Along with this dead is Moktar Belmoktar or Abdelhamid Abou Zeid, these are two of the major forces in al Qaeda's group. The only thing known so far is that there are many leaders among the hundreds of terrorists killed during the operation. Despite challenges posed by the conditions of some of the slain fighters, the DNA esults should be complete and turned in, in a few days.

The CNN made this report.
The report was created March 7th
I have heard a bit about al Qaeda but not much
