"whats life like in South African prison" Sophie Goetzmann

What is life like in South African Prison? Well it is cramped and overcrowded. Often there are two or three men in one small cell. They are in lockdown for 23 hours of the 24 hour day. Due to the overcrowding, there is poor sanitation and ventilation. The overcrowding its over 200%. There are some prisoners that act better and cooroporate than others. The prison does not have a good reputation. Some of the prisoners are abused daily because of issues with apartheid. They are locked up for 15 hours a day without ventilation. This can possibly spread diseases.
