After almost 15 months of being held captive by Islamic migrants in the southern Philippines, Warren Rodwell is free at last. Authorities found the 54-year-old Australian early Saturday in the port city of Pagadian on the island of Mindanao. He was held at gunpoint and taken from his home and Filipina wife in December of 2011. His captors which are believed to be in the extremist group, Abu Sayyaf, demanded a ransom of $2 million which the Australian government refused to pay. He is expected to be reunited with his family in the Philippines soon.

It must be so terrifying to be a hostage in a foreign country, thankfully he was released!
