At least 60 dead from alcohol poisoning in Tripoli, ministry says By: Halle Van De Hey

In this article Jomana Karadsheh, of CNN, talks about how nearly 60 people died of alcohol poisoning in Tripoli, Libya. Alcohol sale, and consumption is prohibited in Libya, but that doesn't mean you can't still find it. More than 700 alcohol poisoning cases have been reported. The poisoning was caused by the locally made alcohol called "bokha."  The police have documented all of the cases, and there is an on going investigation to put a stop to these tragic events.

I think this is terrible. People are too obsessed, and reliant on alcohol these days. It is illegal in Libya, and people are still drinking it. That is why all of this has happened, and why so many people have lost their lives. I wish there was something somebody could do to stop things like this from happening. Having a few drinks is no where near worth losing a friend, father, sibling, or even your own life.
