Carlos Alberto Dies at 72- Hannah Niara

This past Tuesday October 25, 2016, Carlos Alberto past away at 72 years old. Alberto was a famous "footballer", or what we know to be "soccer." Alberto was the Captain of  the Brazilian team from the early 1970's to 1982  . He was one of the best defenders of his time, and was also one of the first to attack an opponent's ball, while defending his at the same time. These types of plays is what got his team the 4-1 win in the 1970 World Cup. So many people looked up to Carlos Alberto from fans to teammates, and even coaches. One of his coaches commented "He was more than a leader, he was an innovative player; that is why he is our eternal captain." Although I am not a huge fan of soccer, I have watched videos of Carlos Alberto playing the game of football, and I think that he is an amazing player. I hope that people who he has influenced get to make an impact on others just the way he did.
