Migrant Crisis- Hannah Niara

Many other countries have very harsh rules and laws which make most citizens not want to live there anymore. This past Saturday over 800 people tried to migrate from there homes, across the Mediterranean Sea. There were a ton of boats out at Sea at once. Many people in organizations who were apart of the rescue groups said that more than 6 wooden boats full of people were rescued and brought to land. Out of all these people 797 were rescued included 202 women and 22 children. In the process many people also did not make it across the sea. Over 1,400 people died for different reasons, some couldn't survive being on sea for that many days, and others drowned in the process of trying to cross the sea. I feel really sorry for everyone who has to live in places that have the type of laws no one can live by. I am very glad that those who tried to cross and may have been harmed a little were rescued and taken to other places. I hope that other people in other places who are unfortunately dealing with the same thing can escape from those places and be safe.
