Junk Yard Power Grid by Juliet Stowe

Planet Earth, for the first time, now has its own Super Battery made entirely from junk metal. The Super battery is made entirely of junk metal, brass, and copper, some of the most common (and most discarded) metals today. This battery is able to function at room temperature, by converting brass and steal into electrodes able to be used for energy. Almost any kind of metal, despite purity, or size, can be used as working parts in the battery. This even includes small impure scraps of metal such at screws or jewelry.

This is important today because with our sources of energy dwindling, we need every last bit of energy we can. Not to mention that since the battery is rechargeable it can be used for long lasting periods of time. Solar and Wind power are great, but if we are going to keep advancing out tech, we will need all the help we can get. These sort of batteries could maybe end up being a main source of energy in generations to come.

  1. The super battery seems pretty cool will it be sold to public

  2. Innovations like this are crucial to our world surviving, with all the resources being used up at this rate we're going to need a recyclable power source.
