Hurricane Otto- Hannah Niara

This past weekend the Tropical Storm Otto, which is one down from a hurricane began to rise. With winds of 110 miles per hour, moving west towards San Juan de Nicaragua. This storm killed about 9 people in Costa Rica, and forced over 5,000 people into shelters. In Panama, Otto killed about 5 people, and caused one person to be missing. The vice president of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, told the news that over 10,000 families had been removed out of houses in about 70 different communities. Only 600 people stayed in their shelters. According to past hurricane history, Otto is the first hurricane to hit Nicaragua since Hurricane Ida in 2009. I know that there is noting I can do to stop things like this from happening, because they are natural disasters, but I hope that those who had family who were harmed or killed by this hurricane, find peace and a better place to live.
