Miles Shickman 11/28

Let's be honest. Nobody ever really took the Green Party Candidate, Jill Stein, seriously during her campaign. However, now that that's over, she has started a movement to recount votes in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. Even though a recount in these states will not change the results of the election, and certainly not in Jill's favor, she stands by it as a symbolic effort to show that voter fraud does occur occasionally. The last time an important recount took place was in the year 2000 in Florida. This was the one state that decided whether the next president would be George Bush or Al Gore. It was eventually settled in Bush's favor by only 537 votes. George Bush was another Republican president who lost the popular vote. This article was written not only to bring awareness to Jill's recount campaign, but also to bring light to what has been presented as a serious issue by president elect, Donald Trump: voter fraud. Only, in the opposite direction than he thought.
