"FBI Destroys Doors & Windows In Wrong-House Raid - And Then Refuses To Pay For Damages"-Ellen Whitehead

At a Florida family's home, the FBI claimed that they had a warrant to search the Capp's house and Mrs. Capp did not have a problem letting them in knowing that her and her family were not involved in whatever crime they were looking for. However, the team completely destroyed their house to find nothing and arrest the man in the house next door, the next morning. The FBI and TV station reporting the investigation refused to pay for damages they caused in the Capp's home. The team finally agreed to pay for damages after the idea was addressed by a social site. I feel that the FBI should have paid for damages immediately because they were wrong and had the wrong house so they had no right to destroy their house for no reason.

  3. I agree with you, it's so bad that the FBI was so rude and careless when they are supposed to be protecting people. But I'm glad they finally decided to pay for the damages.

  4. I concur, for they should have owned up to their mistake and paid for the damages. This sort of thing scares me, because not even the FBI is honest anymore.

  5. I think the FBI is getting comfortable , and think they can just do anything just because they are FBI's . They should of paid for damage and especially because it was the wrong house that they were invading .

  6. The FBI should check their facts and records before charging in somewhere and destroying property. Just because the are the FBI doesn't mean they should trash someone's house, especially if they're not sure it's the correct one.
