Mica Stout | Protests

As a result of Donald Trump winning the election, people all around the US have started protesting. On November 12 & 13, people continued their protesting, and it got a little out of hand in Los Angeles Friday night. Friday November 11,2016 1,000 people took to the streets of Los Angeles and 187 people were arrested with 8 juveniles. Sunday marks the fifth day of protests since Trump has won, and people hugely disagree with his policies on the community. People are angry/scared about their LGBTQ rights, Trump's immigration policies, and how Trump won the electoral colleges vote not popular vote, like Clinton.

This article was probably written to people who are also against Trump. It will help people understand just why many other people are so upset with the turnout of this election. I personally don't follow politics like crazy, but I can kind of understand why all these people feel the way they do about this man who hasn't really given himself a great overall impression.

  1. True, people are upset and scared about what this man will do. I am glad they are protesting their concerns, but I don't believe in any of the vandalism and violence that has gone on during some of the recent protests.

  2. I agree with you that he hasn't made a great impression of himself and it is good that people are expressing their opinions, but I don't think it should go so far that a large amount of people have to be arrested

  3. I think we have come so far in the LGBTQ community and
I really hope that issues between the community and the new president doesn't set back our progress. I disagree with trumps negative views about minorities and i wish for him to soon figure out that he needs to be equal to everyone.
